How Licenses Work

One license = one store

Each license activates on one Shopify store. Kenso Starter and Kenso Core each include 1 license; Kenso Pro includes 5. Starter licenses are locked to their first store, while Core and Pro licenses are transferable.

When you activate, the license locks to your store's auto-generated Shopify domain — the one with random characters like bknzyb-jv.myshopify.com. This domain is permanent and unique to your store.

What the license unlocks

Without a license, the theme shows a setup screen. With an active license you get all 140+ features: premium sections, AI chatbot, spin wheel, bundle builder, live sales notifications, and everything else.

Your license key

Your key is in your Customer Portal. It looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Changing stores

Core and Pro customers can transfer their license to a different store in the portal. Click "Change Domain" on any license. There's a 14-day cooldown between transfers.

Starter licenses are not transferable — they stay locked to the store you first activate on. Upgrade to Core (+$80) if you need transfer protection.

Custom domains don't affect your license
